Product Lead Times

Product lead times always make projects, orders, deadlines and deliveries an intricate part of the total process. Paying close attention to product lead times can make the process much more relaxing without having to deal with a stressful rush at the end.

Manufacturer lead times vary from week to week depending on the orders that come into the system and what product is being manufactured and being landed. Projections is a crucial part of the process and we as dealers try to assist the process by being as accurate as possible with our sales projections. Gone are the days when manufacturers use to stack massive amounts of product in mega warehouse and dealers use to keep extra inventory. While manufacturers do keep some inventory and dealers many times a small amount also, drop shipping is the most popular way to process an order these days with install teams meeting the trucks on site.

As a rule of thumb it is best to allow around 6 weeks for most orders which could move down to 2 to 4 weeks during good weeks and rush up to 8 to 10 weeks if product is popular which many times is the case with well know quality manufacturers with highly desired product.

Our recommendation is to pay close attention and take seriously lead time quotes and updates. Stay in contact with your rep as you work through the process so we have a relaxed order and delivery process.
